Pozo, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain, 15th June 2016. Archaeologists examining a skeleton at an aboriginal burial site on the east coast of Gran Canaria. "Los Guanches", the first inhabitants of the Canary Islands, are thought to have been of North African Berber descent.
