There was never agreater fallacy. French Peas are largely packed fromseed grown in Canada. If you will compare the Canadianwith the French pack Peas you will notice that the flavorof the imported Peas is killed by the use of green coloring. A prominent grocer said that he never ale any Peasbut the imported. He was asked if he had ever* comparedthe French with the Canadian Peas. He confessed thathe never had. A tin of very ordinary Canadian StandardPeas two or three years old was then opened against a tinof French Peas. The French Peas had the CanadianPeas beaten for color, but for flavor the Canadian packPeas were much superior, and had a flavor that wasentirely lacking in the French Peas.
