(Ret) Charles Blaich of Staten Island visits with Sailors from USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), in port for Veterans Week liberty. military members visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Nov. 9, 2018 as part of Veterans Day and Marine Corps Birthday activities in New York City. Kimberly Joiner, Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Outreach rang the closing bell alongside Army Col. Dina Wandler and NYSE president Stacey Cunningham. Joiner is promoting the Dept. of Defense initiative #KnowYourMil in order to expand public understanding of the military.
