Detail of the façade of The Angel restaurant on the Embankment in the South Devon town of Dartmouth. It is next to York House, which, although giving the appearance of being older, possibly Tudor, dates from is Victorian. It is a Grade 2 listed South Hams District Council's Dartmouth Conservation Area Appraisal of 2013 lists it as "A fine example of a half timbered building" and speaks of it being a Victorian Mock Tudor Victorian building dating from 1893. It is possible to rent a holiday apartment in the building as well as eat in The Angel Restaurant
