Sundry of the Court desired that the Patent orCharter might be brought into the Court, the Sec-retary sent tor it and informed the Governor andCourt that he had the Charter and shewed it tothe Court, and the Govr bid him put it into theBox again and lay it on the Table and leave theKey in the Box, which he did forthwith.* * Although not particularly mentioned, this appears tohave been the time when the Charter of Connecticut wasseized, conveyed away and secreted.
