Glacier National Park, 1914. Image 1 of 2. Glacier National Park is located in Montana, USA. The image, taken in 1914, shows how Blackfoot glacier (left) and Jackson glacier (right) are joined along their are large, slow-moving expanses of ice, formed from compacted layers of snow. They are sensitive to climate change and in recent years most have retreated dramatically. See image C014/5609 for an image of the same glacier as seen in 2009.
