It is in the former area that recent destructive cutting has occurred, and there has not been time for a second growth to take possession of this area. While collections were made at random over the island, attention was concentrated on two areas marked A and B in Figure 2. The former was a low lying area where the present cover has grown up after a considerable cutting.
