Thousands of LGBT people annd their supporters flood Old Compton Street in London for a vigil to commemorate the murder of 50 people in Orlando, Florida's Pulse nightclub, a gay venue where Omar Mateen opened fire on the crowd. The vigil's focal point was The Admiral Duncan pub, which in 1999 suffered a nail bomb attack by Neo-Nazi David Copeland, in which three people were killed and over 70 injured, the crowd was joined by leading political figures including London's Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan. A performance by the London Gay Men's Chorus of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" followed an immaculately observed two-minute silence, bring tears to many an eye.
