Exterior of the late 1950s southern rear addition of the Auckland War Memorial Museum in Aukland, New Zealand. This major extension was designed by the New Zealand architects M. K. Draffin and R. F. Draffin. The addition is to commemorate the Second World War when an administration annex with a large semi-circular courtyard was added. The papers and memorabilia of the late Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to reach the summit of Mount Everest, are held in the museum.
