Juvenile, throat white; foreneck and breast dull gray; colors and markings otherwise as in adult. A forest inhabitant, widely distributed. This common species of the lowland forests may be recognized by the pure white of the foreneck and breast. The two subspecies accepted here from Panama are closely similar in size, differing in depth of color in the darker markings of the crown.
