Magazine L'Epreuve, The magazine L'Epreuve appeared monthly from December 1894 to December 1895 and focused on art and literature. In this case, two editions were included in one issue, the ninth and tenth editions of August and September 1895 respectively. The magazine published an album with ten original prints by well-known artists for each issue. The front page of this double issue contains two lists of ten artists' names and their contributions plus an extra print for the deluxe edition. The magazine discusses in detail the upcoming second volume of 1896, which never got off the ground
