The weather has moderated and a few bright days liave helped outdoor work. This class of work has been practically at a standstill and has held back the sale of plants quite a bit. The stock is moving better, liowever, and if the weather remains good for a week or so it will lielp tliis end of the business tre- mendously. The cut flower division is just about holding its own; business is only moder- ately good. Carnations are plentiful, but, on the whole, the quality is only medium. It is as good as can be ex- pected, however, under existing condi- tions. Roses are of fine quality and are cleaning up fairly well. There is a shortage of good red roses, as the demand seems largest for this stock and the croj) is not so large as it should be. Sweet peas are still plentiful, al- though the quality is deteriorating each day. Valley is arriving in larger quantities and the quality lias improved to a great extent. Uilies are extremely plentiful and of good quality, but they are not moving nearly so well as they should. Snapdragons are not so good as they have been and are moving slowly. There is a good demand for strings of smilax and there is practically none in the market, so that asparagus is finding some extra sales on this account. There is a good demand for orchids, but th
