The cars are equipped withBaldwin trucks with 34-inch steeled wheels. The wheel baseIs 6 feet and the gauge 5 feet 2V2 inches. The cars aredesigned to round a 35-foot curve. The drawbars are theVan Dorn type, 28 inches from the rail. The new equipment is designed for operation by the General Electric type multiple-unit control, if the traffic shalldemand it, and each car has four G. E. 73 motors of 75 horse-power each. The cars are equipped with the Westinghouseautomatic air brakes. End doors have been placed in thevestibule so as to permit passage from one car to anotherwhen the cars are operated
