A beautiful plant,splendidly adapted for the decoration of drawing rooms and halls, as it stands drought and dust with impunity. The leaves grow to a length' of three to four feet, and arc beautifully striped crosswise with broad white variegations on a dark green ground. It is a rare and beaut- ful plant which should be abundantly grown for posi- tions out of reach of the sun- light, where other plants will not thrive. It has a singular beauty for decorative purposes which other plants do not possess, and is useful both winter and summer. Grown mainly for the beauty of its foliage, it is difficult to rind a more unique or ornamental plant than this.
