Caution— In doing this exercise, lay particular stressupon the arm that is pulling the bowstring,throwing the head backward and the chest well out-ward with each retraction of the arm. Parts Affected — Broad superficial muscles of the rightand left sides of the back, muscles between theshoulder-blades, and those of the upper arms andshoulders. An excellent exercise for expanding thechest. 170
