UK, England, Devon, The Kingswear Daymark (Day Beacon or 'The Tower')
The Daymark is also known as The Tower or The Day Beacon. It stands above Froward Point near Kingswear in the South Hams area of south Devon, England. It was build in 1864 on land leased from Charles Seale Hayne, owner of Brownstone in that year. He was to become a founder member of the Dartmouth Harbour Commission whose main aim was to improve access and facilities to Dartmouth Harbour. It is octagonal in construction and stands 80ft (24m) high.
