Brixham fishing fleet,brixham trawler fleet,koden,UK vessels landed £27million of fish into Brixham in 2012 – the highest total catch value of all ports in England. The figure has been published in the Marine Management Organisation's annual UK fishing industry report. The report, entitled UK Sea Fisheries Statistics 2012, includes detailed figures on the UK fishing fleet, the number of fishermen, the quantity and value of landings, international trade and the state of key fishing stocks. The report shows that overall, the quantity of fish has increased by five per cent while the value has decreased by seven per cent compared with 2011. Plymouth was named the busiest fishing port in England in terms of the volume of fish landed by UK vessels. Brixham receives much greater proportions of demersal fish and shellfish, which typically sell at higher prices per tonne than pelagic species, which constitute the majority of landings into fishing ,brixham trawler fleet,koden,UK vessels landed £27million of fish into Brixham in 2012 – the highest total catch value of all ports in England.
