KUNAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Habib ullah Jangay, Khas Kunar Chief of Police, was charged with misuse of his position, and Shams urhman Momand, a logistics officer, was charged with corruption, during a public trial at the Kunar Provincial Courthouse today. The men were convicted of stealing food from the police department for personal use; Jangay was sentenced to one year in prison, and Momand was sentenced to 61-months and a fine of 346,500 afghani.
