False Killer Whales are also found throughout the Indian Ocean and the Mediterra- nean ( Mitchell 1975a; Leatherwood et al. inpress). Oil British Columbia, their presence has been confirmed by 23 records, all since 19X7. and all of single individuals ( I able I; Figure 3; Baird el al. 1989). I hree oi these records represent strandings.
