Born at Belluno, near Venice, in 1660, and studied under Federigo Cervelli at Veniceand also at Milan under Alessandro Magnasco of Genoa. He visited various parts ofItaly and was employed first by the Duke of Parma and then by the Emperor at Viennaon the decoration of the palace of Schoenbrunn. After this he spent ten years in England,where he was chiefly employed in the decoration of mansions and public buildings. He diedat Belluno on May 13, 1734.
