Pope Francis leads the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis in Latin) celebrated at the Colosseum on Good Friday as part of the Easter Holy week celebrations in Rome, Italy. The Way of the Cross is part of the Easter tradition in Catholic countries. It takes place on Good Friday and commemorates the passion and death of Jesus Christ through the reading of prayers along a path of 14 stations.
