Valporetto ticket validation machines at a water bus stop on the Venice Lagoon. Valporetto (water bus) tickets are generally priced for periods of time 1hr, 12 hrs etc and must be validated (time stamped) before the first use. Validation normally done by holding the ticket up to machines sited at the water bus pick up points as illustrated in this image.
