The primary goal of this partnership was to determine how many donors possessed the much needed 'O- Blood' otherwise known as the Universal Donor. After blood collection, it will be tested for transfusion transmitted diseases, as well as a determination of titer status, so the group O donors may be designated a Low Titer O Whole Blood Donors. This significant event within the Medical Community embodies the XVIII Airborne Corps spirit of "Low Drag" and is a major step in the Conventional Army's establishment of a lifesaving procedure; essential to the preservation of the lives of Soldiers on the frontlines.
