Built by Olav Kyrre in the 11th century on the site of the burial of King Olav Haraldson who had been killed at the "Battle of Stiklestad" and was subsequently declared a saint and martyr. Gothic style of architecture. Erkebispegården lies slightly to the left of and just in front of the Cathedral.
