Figs. 84, 85, with wood handles, differ from the Lopping or Branch Shears, in hav- ing a moveable centre for the motion of one of the blades, by which means, instead of a crushing cut, they make a draw -cut, leav- ing the section of the part attached to the tree or shrub smooth, as if cut off with a knife; they are also much lighter and bet ter finished than the Lopping Shears.
