S. P. toeach quart of water. In the absence of the above, carbolic acidin 2 per cent solution is permissible. Where there are severalanimals to be operated upon it is not practicable nor is it neces-sary or desirable to boil the instruments between each , they should be washed and placed back in the anti-septic solution. The operators hands should be thoroughlyw^ashed
