View NW of St Mary's Church & the Cove, part of the prehistoric complex of stone circles, settings & avenues at Stanton Drew, Bath and NE Somerset, England, UK. The Cove stands 300m SW of the Great Circle, it resembles a roofless megalithic burial chamber with two sideslabs, a backslab fallen outwards & an open front facing SE to the most southerly moonrise. It may be earlier than the three stone circles & two avenues, possibly the surviving chamber of a long mound. It stands beside the Druids Arms & the C13th church built to Christianize the pagan ceremonial complex.
