Rheidol valley, Ceredigion, Wales, UK 26th June 2018 UK Weather: Smoke rising from a grass fire that has spread along the Rheidol valley near Devils Bridge in Ceredigion. Fire fighters were called out around this morning but due to the fire being on a steep graded valley, it is making it difficult to extinguish, with the possibility of having to get a helicopter to extinguish it. Unconfirmed, but though to have started from the Vale of Rheidol steam train that runs up along the valley from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge and the dryness of the land with the current heatwave.
