Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned and reaching vertex of head, the 3rd joint minute; antennte bipectinate with moderate branches; tibige with the spurs short; abdomen dorsally clothed with hair at base. Fore wing with vein 3 from long before angle of cell; 4, 5 separate at origin; 6 from or from below upper angle ; 7, 8, 9, 10 stalked, 11 from cell. Hind wing with vein 2 from or from before angle of cell or stalked with 5; 3, 5 stalked or coincident; 4 absent; 6, 7 coincident; 8 from middle of cell, curved and not reaching costa, which is strongly lobed at base in male. Sect. I. Hind wing of male with the base of costa very strongly lobed, with a large patch of androconia on upperside corresponding with a patch on underside of inner area of fore wing ; veins 2 and 5 stalked, 3 and 5 coincident.
