Stomach cancer, illustration. A large oval-shaped tumour of the lesser curvature and posterior wall of the stomach. Central to the tumour is ulcerated tissue. In this example of advanced gastric cancer, adenocarcinoma tumour cells have produced excessive mucinous materials resembling a gelatinous matrix around the margins and called a mucinous colloid carcinoma.
