At Fordhook Farms 1=U^_ .... the past two seasons it lUT has proved of the same . distinct habit of growth, ^§ and only two days later in flowering, which makes it ten days to two weeks earlier than Emily Henderson. Like Burpee's Earliest of All, the plants of the new Mont Blanc grow only eighteen to twenty inches high when in full flower. The flowers are pure paper-white, of good size, and generally three on a stem, which is of good length for such an early variety. The seed this season is of our own growing from the originator's stock, and should be of stronger â vitality, which with the more liberal packets will : afford our friends a better opportunity for making a trial of this new variety. We would especially recom- mend " Mont Blanc " and our " Earliest of AH" for spring flowering in locations where the tall sorts are apt to be cut off by the summer heat.
