Padua,Italy, April 14th, 2019. after 150 years, a transhumant flock of sheep, on its way to the mountain pasture-lands, passes through the old streets of Padova. The shepherds, with their dogs, lead almost 1,000 sheep and make them stop at the "Prato della Valle" the largest square in Europe, in the old town center, and shear the flock in the presence of a large number of citizens, children and tourists. The event is organized by the farmer's association "Coldiretti", to promote this rural activity. The rector of Saint Antony's Basilica gives a special blessing to flock and shepherds.
