Capt. Jeff Yin, Task Force Michael battle captain, and Ryan King, quality assurance for Operation Blue Roof, set out on an initial inspection in Panama City Beach, Florida, Nov. 19 to verify eligibility for the program. Yin is learning the ins-and-outs of the Blue Roof program to support an ‘all-hands’ mentality to get as many engineers in the field as possible to complete all initial inspections in the coming days. To date more than 7,000 Blue Roofs have been installed in the Florida panhandle to protect property and allow residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.
