EVERY YEAR THE FARMER ROTATES HIS CROP AND PLANTS A SET DISTANCE FROM THE CLIFF EDGE AT THE TIME OF PLANTING. HE KNOWS SOME LAND WILL BE LOSY EACH YEAR AND ALLOWS FOR THIS WHEN 5 TO 10 METERS GAP . WHAT THESE IMAGES GRAPHICALLY SHOW IS THE EROSION OF THE CLIFF FROM THE TIME OF PLANTING IN THE AUTUMN TO THE DATE OF THE IMAGE 6-8 MONTHS LATER. THE CLIFF HAS RETREATED INTO THE PLANTED CROPS.
