John Zappia and his Holden GTS Monaro based Top Doorslammer are regarded as legends in Australian drag racing circles. One of the pioneers of Top Doorslammer racing in Australia, Zappia was the first Aussie Top Doorslammer driver to run a 7 second, then 6 second and ultimately a 5 second pass. Shortly after uploading this image to Alamy in April 2008, Zappia took out the 2008 Australian Top Doorslammer Championship.
