Ludwig Rigaud, inventor of the original Salzburg Venusbrüstchen, grew up in the house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born, which his family bought from the Hagenauer family more than 100 years ago. Lorenz Hagenauer was a landlord and friend of the Mozart family. On the first floor of the house at Getreidegasse 9 was the "Alte Hagenauerische Specereywarenhandlung", Salzburg's first address for delicacies, coffee and spices, which Ludwig Rigaud continued to run with his brother until 1994.
