While the beans are small (being of the Sieva or Sewee type, known in the South as " butter-beans'"), yet they are ready for the table earlier than the Large Lima, and the little pods, growing in clusters, are plentiful. The compact, dwarf bushes are of hardy growth and very prolific, bearing continuously until the end of the season. Wholesale, $ per bushel. KUMERLE, THORBURN'S, OR DREER'S BUSH LIMA. This is a true bush form of the small, chubby Dreer's or Potato Pole Lima. It originated with a market gardener in Northern New Jersey, and the bushes grow from one and a half to two feet high, of vigorous growth and quite prolific, the prize bush in 1892 bearing one hundred and eighty-five pods. A natural-size pod is shown above; neither pods nor beans are nearly so large as Burpee's Bush Lima, while they are also late in maturing. Wholesale, $ per bushel. JACKSON WONDER DWARF LIMA. Although not sustaining â^âââââ^ââââââââ the extravagant claims made by the introducers, yet, after three years' careful comparative trials at Fordhook Farm, we would pronounce it a prolific strain of the Speckled Sieva, or small Lima, of established bush character and real merit, resembling Henderson's Bush Lima, but larger in size of beans, with better filled pods â ?+ is also more easily shelled than the Henderson Lima.
