Illustration of the Russian-British physicist Konstantin Novoselov (born 1974). Novoselov was born in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, and studied in Moscow and Nijmegen, Netherlands, before moving to Manchester in the UK. He was awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics jointly with Andre Geim for their work on graphenes - single atom thick sheets of carbon.
