Coborn School for Girls, Bow, East London, Tower Hamlets, London, UK. The school was founded in 1701, on request after the death of Priscilla Coborn, wife of a wealthy brewer. The school was founded in 1701, on request after the death of Priscilla Coborn, wife of a wealthy brewer, Thomas Coborn. She left money to establish a charity school which occupied a number of sites including, imitially, near Bow Church and also in Fairfield Road. The school is no longer here and this building has been converted into luxury flats.
