Spc. Matthew Jenkins is welcomed home by his father, Darryl Jenkins; mother, Sandra Jenkins; and sister, Darrilyn Jenkins, at the 172d Airlift Wing in Flowood, Miss., April 6, 2019. Jenkins was deployed to Kuwait with the 1st Squadron, 98th Calvary Regiment, 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team in support of Operation Spartan Shield. The mission is a combined forces contingency operation designed to deter and react to possible threats in the Middle East region. The 155th ABCT was mobilized for active duty service for approximately one year.
