Lake Chelan lies between spurs of the Cascadesand is beautiful beyond description. The reflectionof the mountains is so distinct in its peculiarlyclear water that one may look over the side of theboat down into the blue depths and see plainly onthe snow-covered mountains, that glisten dazzlinglywhite, the deer and mountain goats as they playand jump from ledge to ledge.
