Re-cently three merchants of Loring. Ont.,were hauled before a magistrate and eachfined $50 and costs. The failure to usethese stamps is often a failure on thepart of some inexperienced clerk. Thatis not an extenuation, however, as incases such as this the merchant is heldresponsible for the acts of his clerk.
