Dr. Forster (Zoologische Sammlung des Bayerischen Staates) has informed me that the type of M. trinotata Herrich Schaffer was destroyed during an air raid in 1944, and Dr. W. E. China (British Museum) has told me that the type of L. tnaculiventris Dallas must be presumed lost. However the original description and diagram (Fig. 863) of Herrich Schaffer for trinotata and the original description of L. tnaculiventris Dallas agree with the holotype of Gerris oratorius Fabricius. Leptocorisa palawanensis sp. n.
