The Ginetta G50 Cup - eligible only for Ginetta G50 ‘Cup’ specification cars - is a true introduction to real GT racing. Wheel- to-wheel action as part of the British Touring Car Championship package accompanies its Ginetta Junior sister Championship. Experience high-speed action at a fraction of the cost of comparative race series. Large crowds at the BTCC meets provide an electric atmosphere and live TV coverage on ITV4 with a highlights programme is part and parcel of the media support. A 20-minute qualifying session determines grid positions for the weekend’s two 20-minute races. A driver’s fastest lap in this time is taken into account for race one’s grid, whilst their second fastest lap relates to their starting position for race two.
