This ornate figure graces the roof corner of the Jokhang temple in Lhasa, which dates back to 647AD. The Jokhang is the spiritual centre of Tibet, and a focus for Buddhist pilgrims. Almost a third of all Tibetan Lamas practise and live in Lhasa, which is home to some of the world's richest religious relics.
