As its name implies, it has tried to keepin touch with the current events of the season by considering sub-jects that were attracting world-wide attention, not forgetting thoseof minor importance. Two years have been devoted to the studyof United States history; English literature will engage our atten-tion the present winter. The programmes have been varied andenlivened by vocal and instrumental music by members of the cluband invited guests. Club teas have been
