ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (November 18, 2022) - Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday presents Vice Adm. Bill Merz with a Distinguished Service Medal at his retirement ceremony in Memorial Hall at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., Nov. 18. Merz graduated from the Naval Academy with the class of 1986 and served as a commissioned officer for 36 years.
