POMONA, California (June 5, 2015) The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) robotic cheetah entertains the crowd in between competition rounds during the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Robotics Challenge (DRC) June 6, 2015, at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. MIT researchers have trained the robot to see and jump over hurdles as it runs — making this the first four-legged robot to run and jump over obstacles autonomously.
