Long-nosed potaroo (Potorous tridactylus) foraging on the forest floor. This small rodent-like marsupial, sometimes known as a rat-kangaroo, forages at night for fungi. This behaviour is known as fungivory or mycophagy. It helps to spread fungal spores via the animal's faecal pellets. The long-nosed potaroo also eats roots, tubers and insects.
