An engraving of the fortifications being constructed by Confederate Troops on Munson's Hill, USA during the American Civil War. This was an elaborate sham by the Confederates who even mounted large logs painted black to resemble Parrott Guns. At the time the dome of Capitol Hill could be seen from Munson's Hill.
